This is a pot roast cooked in a slow cooker low and slow all day. It doesn't have a mushroomy taste even though you use the 2 cans of soup!
It's super easy, so tasty, moist and tender!
3-1/2 pound roast (any type will work - arm, chuck, pikes peak)
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
1 package dry onion soup mix (Lipton or the store brand is fine)
1-1/4 cups beef broth
Weeknight Roast w/ Gravy
Make the Roast!
Mix the two soups and the beef broth in a bowl with a whisk until blended. Place the roast in the slow cooker and pour the soup mixture over the top. I always tilt the roast a bit just to make sure some soup gets under the roast. It will almost cover the roast - that's okay!
Cook the roast on the Low setting for approximately 10 hours. I start mine at 8am and when I get home from work at 6:30 pm, it is tender and delicious.
Skim any fat from the top of the slow cooker, then remove the roast and top with the gravy. Super easy and delicious!
